In this session, Obasegun from Vilsquare, Nigeria will share how they managed to turn an open design for a microscope into an off-the-shelf supermarket product, making science accessible and affordable. The session focus, the VoltMicroscope, is a personal, low-cost and digital microscope that supports science teaching in Institutions across Africa. The conversation will also connect concepts around designing, manufacturing, field tests, and scaling strategies used in the making of the microscope.
