Alice Plati is an international photographer and filmmaker based in New York. She works in a broad range of genres including music and dance video, documentary, and narrative. Her work has been published on multiple online platforms including The New Yorker, TIDAL, VICE, i-D, and DAZED. Recent clients include Adidas, Doc Martens, Nike, The North Face and Fila.
Born and raised in New York City, Alice’s love of image-making sparked in high school when she began to document her friends with a 35mm analog camera. She earned her BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015 and has since worked on projects across the United States, Europe, and in South Africa. She is also currently part of the internal staff at crooked letter films.
Alice’s work centers on motion, musicality, and authentic human storytelling. Her attraction to the physicality of camera operating stems from her background as a gymnast, soccer player, and mixed martial artist. She earned her black belt when she was thirteen years old and is willing to do a split on set if it means getting the right shot.
