Henning Tewes, geboren 1972 in Mühlheim an der Ruhr, verantwortet seit dem 1. Mai 2019 das Produktionsmanagement, den Programmeinkauf sowie NITRO, VOXup, RTLplus und die vier Pay-TV Sender der Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland. Seit dem 1.11.2019 ist er als Co-Geschäftsleiter TVNOW außerdem für die Inhalte des Streamingdienstes zuständig.

Tewes ist seit 2005 in verschiedenen Funktionen für die RTL Group tätig. Nach dem Studium der Geschichte, Politikwissenschaft und Volkswirtschaft an der Universität Oxford und der Promotion an der Universität Birmingham übernahm Tewes zunächst die Leitung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Polen, bevor er, nach einem MBA an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Insead (Frankreich/Singapur) 2005 als VP Corporate Strategy zur RTL Group kam. Ab 2009 wurde Tewes bei der RTL Group-Tochter Alpha TV in Griechenland Teil des Management Teams, zunächst als COO, dann als Programmdirektor. Im Juli 2012 folgte der Wechsel als Geschäftsführer zum in Luxemburg angesiedelten Nachrichtendienst Enex, der ebenfalls zur RTL Group gehört, und der in dieser Zeit zu einem globalen Nachrichtenanbieter heranwuchs. Zwei Jahre später übernahm Tewes als CEO die Geschäfte der Sendergruppe RTL Croatia und wurde Mitglied des Operations Management Committee (OMC) der RTL Group. Dank umfassender Wachstumsinitiativen in den Bereichen Free TV, Pay TV und Digital wuchs RTL Croatia in dieser Zeit zum führenden Medienunternehmen des Landes.

Henning Tewes, born 1972 in Mühlheim an der Ruhr, has been responsible for production management, programme acquisitions as well as NITRO, VOXup, RTLplus and the four pay-TV channels of the RTL Deutschland media group since 1 May 2019. Since 1 November 2019, he has also been responsible for streaming service content as co-director at TVNOW.

Tewes has been working for the RTL Group in various capacities since 2005. After studying history, political science and applied economics at Oxford University and obtaining his doctorate at the University of Birmingham, Tewes initially took over as head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland before obtaining an MBA at the Insead business school (France/Singapore) and joining the RTL Group as VP Corporate Strategy in 2005. From 2009, Tewes became part of the management team at RTL Group affiliate Alpha TV in Greece, first as COO, then as director of programming. In July 2012, he transferred to Luxemburg news service Enex, also part of the RTL Group, which was developing into a global news provider at the time, as managing director. Two years later, Tewes took charge of business at the RTL Croatia channel group as CEO and became a member of the Operations Management Committee (OMC) at RTL Group. Thanks to extensive growth initiatives in the areas of free TV, pay TV and digital, RTL Croatia developed into the leading media company in the country during that time.
