Reem Talhouk
Research Fellow

Reem is a Vice Chancellor Research Fellow in the School of Design and Centre for International Development and the co-director of the Design Feminisms research group at Northumbria University. 

Reem has dedicated her career to conducting Design and Human Computer Interaction Research in humanitarian contexts and spaces of migration. She has worked with refugees and asylum seekers in the Middle East, Europe and Australia designing technologies for community resilience. She is interested in working with humanitarian innovators to understand their practices and work towards integrating socially just and decolonial design methodologies and principles in to humanitarian innovation practices.
